Today is many faceted day for many, from travel to family to preparing tomorrows Thanksgiving dinner, to working at a grocery store to taking care of others in a hospital. Being a mom of kids home from school to ministering to the elderly. Whatever you may be doing, it usually is keeping your mind far away from thinking about the foundation of all thanksgiving, the love of God.
Just for a moment today, think about our Abba’s love and kindness to us, and the length’s He will go to to show us how much we are valued by Him, This deep, faithful and all encompassing love surpasses everything. His kindness to us no matter how much we screw up or go off the path is overwhelming at times and draws us back to Him. How can we not praise Him!
When we truly embrace the spirit of thanksgiving and receive His love and kindness His heart is blessed. And as we commune with Him in prayer, and glory in His presence our hands reach up to Him in reciprocal love only to have our hands filled with His love, grace, mercy, provision and overflowing blessings. So why not take time to stop all the business and give Him thanks as we lift up our hands only to have them filled with the joy of a redeemed life.
