Happy Independence Day! After 248 years, through many troubles, trials, catastrophic events, wars and rumors of wars, we are still able to live out our God given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Paul put it so aptly, true freedom is only found living in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Yet, many times through these 248 years we have forgotten that and tried to live this amazing life relying on ourselves and our own knowledge and wisdom. As a result, evil rises up to destroy the freedom we desire to enjoy, and the only way it has and can be stopped is through spiritual warfare.
During those times and like the times we are experiencing now we must remember, like so many Believers before us we need to engage the enemy. You read that correctly, those of us who have Holy Spirit living in us need not fear the enemy and must engage him, because greater is He that is in us than the one we are facing off with. And how should we engage the enemy? Through prayer! Every time the United States faced what seemed to be the “against all odds” opposition, God would raise up men and women who would begin to pray for a stirring of Holy Spirit in complacent Believes to burn again with passion for Holy Spirit to work through them and eventually awaken others to the freedom that is only found in Jesus.
How will we see things turn around once again in America? By praying for personal revival of our the greatest power known to man living inside of us, the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. To join with other Believers and pray for Holy Spirit to move in ways we can’t even imagine that will spill over into our neighborhoods, towns, communities and cities. That Jesus would be seen in us and others would want to come to know His transforming power and they too will live in the liberty of Holy Spirit and in turn transform our nation.
Holy Spirit is longing for blood bought children of God who will yield themselves to Him, so He can flow through them and bring powerful revival and awakening once again to this great country. Will you be one of those people? If so, pray and believe and we will receive.
