“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
Yesterday I watched the Charlie Kirk Memorial and though it was hours long, there was one theme that “shone” through. Charlie was a light in the darkness and that Light was Jesus shinning through Him, He is truly an example of the work Jesus does to us, in us and through us.
He was a force to be reckoned with not on a political level or social level, but on a spiritual level. He only did what he did and could accomplish what he did in his short 31 years, except by the power of Holy Spirit living inside of him. And Charlie knew it and gave the Lord all the credit for whatever was accomplished. He saw young people, especially men, lost in a sea of lies and deception that only led to confusion. That confusion was magnified because there is a lack of fathers and older men to help them see and find the truth. That all young people are having a difficult time finding the truth and developing discernment and wisdom that is needed to navigate through these times we’re living in.
His heart of compassion saw through the hate and the anger and saw confused people who just needed to not only be heard but listened to and then answered respectfully with the truth. And then would let them know he’d pray for them. In his death, he is seeing all he ever dreamed of come to fruition, that all would come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord and that the truth not only would be told, but bring revival and spiritual awakening that our nation so desperately needs. Bit not to just stop with the Untied States, but to spread throughout the entire world!
So now the torch has been passed and it’s our turn to shine the Light of Jesus from within us into the world around us. Are you willing like Charlie to face the giants in our lives in the name of the Lord and see them fall while we see other lives rising up in the name of Jesus and shinning their lives too, until the whole world knows, Jesus is king of all Kings and Lord of all.
