I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one—so that the world will know you sent me and will understand that you love them as much as you love me. John 17:23 TLB
On Friday Nights a support group meets at our church. Some of those attending brought their young children along. So we made Friday Kids Night. For an hour we have fun and every week is different, we play games, have experiments, do crafts, play Treasure Hunt and Hide-n-Go seek, we even had a talent show!
One night as we were doing a craft one of the kids out of the blue said, “you know this is God’s House”. I replied, yes it is. Then she said then how come we never see Him? How do you know He is here? I told them He is where ever I am, because He lives inside of me. This began a great conversation about how when you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, then He lives in you. This means then that where you go, He goes too. You could see their little minds doing double time, they were amazed and it has led to other great conversations about it.
Oh that we would be amazed too when we think about the truth that Jesus lives in us through His Holy Spirit. No matter what is going on in our lives, whether we’re celebrating or trying to climb out of the pit we find ourselves in, He is experiencing it also. No wonder Jesus told the crowd, we have to become like little children to receive Salvation. Why? Because receiving His forgiveness takes trust Him and who is more trusting than little children. Next time you have a problem of crisis, trust like a little child and watch the fear and anxiety melt away because your Savior is not only with you, but inside of you, just waiting to lead and guide you,
