It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2
A Prince in Saudi Arabia once wanted to learn how to play golf. Although he tried several forms of learning the skill, he just wasn’t able to achieve it. So he decided he would hire a golf pro from the Untied States to come and stay with him until he mastered the game.
One Pro said he would come and teach him, but he could only give him a certain amount of time. the Pro was a very good teacher and the Prince learned quickly because of his from of teaching. Once the Prince developed the skills and mastered the game he wanted to give something special to the Pro. So he asked him what he would like. So the Pro thought awhile, and told him that he loves to collect different golf clubs and the Prince replied, then a golf club you shall have.
The Pro came back home thinking every day his golf club would arrive, but to his dismay after two weeks it still had not come. But then one day a certified letter arrived and this is what it said, “We are pleased to tell you, your deed to a 500 acre American Golf Club is enclosed, we hope you enjoy your gift from the Prince. Now this is only a story, but it has a very important point. Royalty thinks differently than the average person. A King or Prince will see a Golf Club as Real Estate the average person will think of it as an implement you play the game with.
1 Peter 2:9 tells us we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood. Romans 8:17 reminds us that we are joint heirs with Jesus who is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) and King of kings (1 Timothy 6:15). Beloved we have royal blood flowing through our veins and we have been given the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) and we need to begin thinking like our King! How different would our lives be if we would see ourselves as Jesus sees us!
