When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Col 2:13-14
For most of us the day to day happenings can become a bit unnerving. But those of us who have accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord, not only have our sins been forgiven, but have His resurrection power living inside of us. Which is wonderful to know, but like anything God does He always goes above and beyond.
We not only have His power within us, but Jesus at the cross disarmed the powers, principalities and authorities that are trying to destroy us in every way. That means they literally have no power over us, well, unless we give it to them. And why should we listen to them, they are liars and deceivers and have been made ineffective in the lives of those who have Holy Spirit. We have nothing to fear for if God is for us then truly who can be against us. It’s time for us to take a stand knowing that the victory already has been won.
