Go through his open gates with great thanksgiving; enter his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name. Psalm 100:4
Too often people have a difficult time trying to pray simply because they don’t know what to say. Religion has so complicated something so simple as a conversation with Someone who loves us so much He was willing to have His Son die in our place. In so doing that He gave us access into the inner court, into His throne room of grace. And if we can’t find nothing else to say, how about thank you.
Thank you Lord for this day. Thank you for what you have done in the past, and begin listing all those blessings. Thank you for everything You are doing but I still don’t see. This tells Him we believe in our hearts we already have received it. Thank you for what you are yet to do and see it in you minds eye all He has prepared for you and thank Him!
Thank you, two small words that say hope, trust, faith, and belief in Him, our Savior, our Provider, our everything. And as we reach out to Him recalling His goodness and faithfulness to us and now with great and confident expectation of receiving what we ask for, He pours out His love, mercy, grace and favor upon us. Thank you Lord for Who You Are, You’re awesome!
