So he said ‘goodbye’ to the crowd. Then he went up on a mountain to pray. Mark 6:46
We live in a culture where “taking a break” is often at the bottom of our list of things to do. But actually, Jesus made it a priority. Because He knew in resting, more productivity would come, mainly from getting away from the noise of the daily grind and into the presence of His Father.
As we are preparing to cast the Enabling Grace vision it was a wonderful time to spend a few weeks in preparation. More than anything this year is knowing that God is not finished with us, because there are still so many who have not responded to His Salvation He has provided to the world.
I have a difficult time slowing down and taking time to clear my mind and heart from all the build up from living in this world. It’s so true the as the saying goes “sometimes you don’t know how bad you felt until you begin to heal”. These past two weeks although still active, I spent more time communicating with the Lord and cleaning up the messy build up in my home. I stopped watching and listening to so much TV and instead enjoyed the extra time with the Lord and and renewed my mind and heart. I encourage you to try to get away from the noise of the world and place yourself in a position to accept what the Lord died to give you, peace, comfort, joy wisdom and discernment. You’ll be amazed how quiet your mind becomes so you can hear what He is showing you the way to go. Take some time today.
