“Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report. They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive! Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.” Luke 24:22-24
The last time we met, Jesus had spent hours being tortured and eventually dying on a cruel Roman cross. Once and for all ever breaking sins power over us through His precious blood. And was laid in a borrowed tomb.
But that Sunday morning so long ago, the tomb laid empty, and still does, because Jesus is alive! And that makes everything different for the Christian. We say Christianity is our religion, but the fact that we serve a Risen Savior means we do not practice a religion (rules and regulations), but have a personal relationship with Jesus the One we worship and adore.
Not only is Jesus alive and sitting at the right hand of the Father, but He is ever interceeding for us. When we accept His gift of salvation we become empowered by the Holy Spirit to overcome with the smae resurrection power He did.
Let this be the first day of a mindset of resurrection power in your life. Nothing will ever be the same again if you do.
