Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. Now I know it’s mostly a day to let others know we love and care about them with doing something special for them. And that’s a very good thing, because God wants us to love one another whether it be romantic, friendship or just appreciation for someone. But too often the Author of true love is completely left out of the picture.
So as we’re are celebrating this “day of love” with others, let’s not forget to spend some time with the best Valentine ever, Jesus! His love for us was measured by His sacrifice in willingly giving up His life for us. John 15:13 tells us there is no greater love than this. So what is a proper way to show our love to someone who is willing to die for us? I believe all Jesus wants is for us to live this life using everything He provided for us in His death and resurrection so that we can be as victorious as He is. After all, He came to not only give us life, but an abundant one that is only found in a relationship with Him. Enjoy this day with your loved ones and that includes Jesus.
