The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. Psalm 19:7
I love to study out the words in Scripture from the Hebrew and the Greek. It has been so amazing to see verses and passages that I’ve known for years to not only come alive, but I actually finding myself saying, “now that makes sense.” Over the past weeks studying about the Word and all its facets, the phrase “Your law” came up a lot. So I decided to take a deeper dive into His law and what it meant.
The word in Hebrew is actually Torah, which means instruction or teachings. The Law is the entire Word, the Bible, it goes way beyond just the first five Books of the Bible or the Ten Commandments. Every word in Scripture has a significant meaning and purpose to help us see Father God, His Son Jesus and Holy Spirit intimately. No matter how much Holy Spirit reveals to us, we will never truly reach the depths and complete meaning until we see Jesus face to face. But what a joy to keep our relationship with our Savior and Redeemer deepening and growing while here on earth. Then when we stand before Him our joy will be complete for we will be see our Beloved and our Beloved will greet us with open arms of love.
