Finally, brothers and sisters, draw your strength and might from God. Put on the full armor of God to protect yourselves from the devil and his evil schemes. We’re not waging war against enemies of flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places. And this is why you need to be head-to-toe in the full armor of God: so you can resist during these evil days and be fully prepared to hold your ground. Yes, stand—truth banded around your waist. . . Ephesians 6:10-14a
We indeed are living in a time we can see the enemy working feverishly to bring as much chaos, confusion and destruction as possible into this world. And part of his deception is for us to focus on things and people as the cause, so we will want to fight them with our own strength and ways. While all the while him and his demons are fueling everything with their supernatural schemes and arsonal. When we feed into that, we get nowhere fast and cause even more damage.
That’s why we need to stop living in the natural, and begin to be led by Holy Spirit and live in the supernatural. The only way we can do that is to stop believing the lies of the enemy and the only way to do that is to know the Truth. When we read the Word and then declare it over and into our situations and circumstances, Holy Spirit will show His power in our lives. We will know Jesus better and we will stay close to Him and make Him the center of our lives.
Then when the enemy comes after us, and tries to tell us outright lies, or twists the Word and tries to deceive us he will have no hold on us. He will be reminded that he has been defeated and disarmed at the cross and he cannot work in those who are sealed in the Spirit. When we fight with the supernatural power of the Spirit, all things are possible and we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb. Then we need to remember to share our stories of victory and where that victory came from, Jesus! When we wear the belt of truth, we will remain standing and destroy the works of the enemy.
