So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. 7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Eph. 1:6-7
Jesus is rich in kindness and grace, yet I know many Believers who are not kind. Instead they are harsh, abrasive and very self-absorbed and truly don’t care how they treat others. And they certainly do not extend grace to others, but always wants grace extended to them. And we continue to wonder why Christians have such a bad name.
Some won’t even give up their seat, or to have their own way, let alone to give up their life so others would find forgiveness and freedom. The power and impact of a kind word or gesture given in the name of Jesus needs to become a way of life rather than special event.
According to this verse these things might be is because we haven’t truly received the glorious grace that has been generously poured out on every blood bought child of God. May we become more intentional about being kind and doing kind things for people, so they will see Jesus in us and they will want to know more about Him. What are some ways you can become more kind and loving towards others, especially to those who don’t deserve it, but sorely need it? Keep a kind journal to remind you of the times God has been kind to you and how you have passed that kindness on to others.
