Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? Romans 2:4
How appropriate is this verse at this time. So many people are once again angry at just about everything. True kindness, tolerance and patience are hard to find. But as ambassadors of Jesus Christ we need to make sure He’s seen through us now more than ever.
Before He left, Jesus said that He was now giving us His light to shine in this dark world, by being like Him. But unfortunately too many people don’t see God being kind, tolerant or patient, simply because we haven’t shown Him to them in those ways. Let’s try to determine to help people see God in these ways, so that we can see the result this verse states. That people will turn from their sin to Jesus. After all we know it’s God’s desire that all should come to know His Son as Savior and Lord. Isn’t being able to help someone enter in a relationship with Jesus, worth putting our own opinions and intolerance away, so all they see is Jesus!
