God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 1 John 4:10
What a wonderful thought for Christmas Eve that God sent His most precious Son as a gift for us to receive. And once we accept Him we open His gift of eternal life and so much more. We now also share in part of Who He is; peace, love. mercy, faith, and wisdom. We don’t have to generate them in our own power, we have parts “of” Him living and working inside of us.
As you go through this amazing day and night, remind yourself that if you have asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and received His Holy Spirit, you can experience all of His gifts found in His salvation. Let Him embrace you with His love and transform our hearts to become more like Him. Consider how He impacted so many who were part of this marvelous night and how a baby who lived only 33 years changed the world forever.
I hope you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and if you don’t, it’s as simple as praying and asking Him to forgive you of all your sins, past, present and future and for Holy Spirit to come live in you to guide, direct and speak with you so you can walk with Him through this life. He truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
