We should think about how we can help one another. We want everyone to show love to each other. We want everyone to do good things to help one another. Some people have stopped meeting with the group of Christians. But that is not good. We should all continue to meet together. We need to help one another to be strong and brave. That is now even more important, because the Lord’s great day is coming. You know that the Lord will return soon. Hebrews 10:24-25 Easy English Bible
Don’t you just love the simplicity of these verses in this translation? It’s not flowery or fancy, but it is to the point. As Believers we need to step up and be Jesus not only to the world, but to one another. Read today’s Scripture slowly and carefully.
First we need to think about in what ways we can help one another, and that means we need to get to know one another better. One of the best ways is to meet with one another outside of church. Go get something to eat together, meet and take a walk together, make a play date with the kids, even a simple phone call to see how someone is. All these things open up opportunities to develop friendships instead of just being acquaintances. In doing so we will learn not only to live and serve together, but to walk together with Jesus.
And one of those ways is to meet together to worship, hear the word and know that Jesus told us when two or three of us meet He is there in the midst of us. Although personal worship is intimate, something special happens when Believers meet together an energy that can stop the enemy in his tracks, destroy oppression, depression, confusion and bring healing, deliverance and release. This is why the enemy is so proficient at keeping us from attending services together. If he can keep us separated, he can and will divide and conquer.
The world is becoming more and more difficult to walk in if we don’t walk in the Spirit encouraging one another to be strong and brave. Together we are greater and can accomplish more than either of us alone, simply because we have one another’s back. If you are finding it difficult to meet together with other Believers, you need to ask yourself why? And ask Holy Spirit to help you be honest with yourself. Remember God doesn’t want you to know so He can punish you, He wants you to know so you can exert your dominion and authority the enemy that Jesus suffered and died to give you. His return to call us to Him in imminent and there are still many who need to know His Salvation. So let’s stop arguing amongst ourselves over trivial things and letting the enemy deter from meeting to keep our light burning. Let’s get up and go out and into our communities and show and tell them about Jesus.
