All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16
I love to study the Greek words in Scripture their definitions and grammar bring such depth and richness and make the meaning and context come alive. In today’s verse the Greek word for inspiration is Theopneustos, theo- meaning God and pneo meaning to breathe and literally translates as breathed out by God.
When we think about that it means when we read the word of God He is having a conversation with us. Imagine that as we’re reading, speaking or declaring the Word, God is talking with us! And He wants us to respond to Him and through Holy Spirit we are communicating Spirit to spirit. Our understanding of Who He is and how He teaches us through Scripture is ever increasing. And Abba becomes so real to us because we’re seeing Him through the eyes of His Son Jesus. Once we engage the Word instead of just reading it, we will never want to go back, but just keep growing deeper in our understanding of and relationship with Him.
