In fact we can say that under the old agreement almost everything was cleansed by sprinkling it with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Hebrews 9:22 TLB
Today over 2000 years ago between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM the world was going through turmoil. As Jesus laid His life down on a cross, to nail every sin and its effects to it, nature began to react to the King of this World being suspended between Heaven and earth in the grips of death. There was supernatural darkness, rain, earthquake, the Temple Doors opening themselves and the Curtain torn from top to bottom by the finger of God to reveal the Holy of Hollies. All this to let us know that the payment to redeem us from sin had been paid in full. Because Jesus allowed Himself to become sin, now all we need to do to benefit from it is to believe that He came to be born of a virgin, lived as the Son of God to be our example, died to save us from hell, death and the grave, and on Sunday rose again so we could live an abundant life through Holy Spirit power and then tell Him we receive this gift of love.
If you have not ever asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to be the Savior and Lord of your life, today is a wonderful day to do so. Just say: Jesus, I do believe you are the Son of the Living God and I believe you went to the cross and died for me so I can be free from the power and destruction of sin. I ask you now to come and live in my heart and be the Savior and Lord of my life. Thank you Jesus for this amazing gift of a new life.
