But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
I read an article recently about how they make anti-venom for poisonous reptiles. It’s been found that the best anti-venom is made from lambs. And that if a venomous snake bites a sheep, although the sheep will have a severe reaction to the bite it will recover. However, the snake will usually die within hours after him biting the lamb.
It got me thinking about the blood of the Lamb of God that was shed in the Garden, the Palace Court Yard and on the Cross. As He was sweating drops of blood from the anguish of thinking about being separated from His Father, having His body ripped open by the whip so we are healed and on the cross so our sins are forgiven, and all so we would have dominion over sin. Just like the lamb’s blood eventually destroys the venom from the bite, it kills the snake that bit him.
We know the enemy will always be looking for ways to strike us and cause pain, destruction and to bring death into out lives. But when we remember we are cleansed by His blood and we will recover, but the enemy has been destroyed! Oh that we would always remember we have the victory in spite of set backs from the enemy. When we do, we will not allow Satan to deceive and hinder us, we will keep our eyes on the victory of the Lamb and we will overcome!
