And to Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance]. Hebrews 12:24 AMPC
Yesterday we celebrated Mother’s Day and a challenge went out to those who are biological mothers as well as those who have a Mother’s heart to nurture to not just pray for our children, but to pray the blood of Jesus over not only the children in our lives, but children in our communities, in our country and around the world.
We might be living in dark times, but we have been called to shine the light of Jesus in this dark world. To bring hope, grace and mercy to our children many who are confused and have been wounded by this world. To let them know they are valuable and that they are loved and have a future. By showing them what life can be like when we are in a relationship with Jesus.
And we can begin by praying and applying the blood of Jesus over their lives with the message of protection over their minds and hearts and over their lives. For health and provision, for deliverance from addictions and things that would destroy them. Isaiah 49:24-25 reminds us that we can ask with confident expectation of these things, because God Himself will fight those who fight against us and those that we love and care for. We have an opportunity here to make a difference in so many lives and lead others into a relationship with Jesus. Which in turn will change our cities, communities, nation and the world.
