I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever!
Young and old will hear of your faithfulness.
Your unfailing love will last forever.
Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. Psalm 89:1-2
Although we should be thankful and grateful every day, beginning with the Sunday before Thanksgiving until the Saturday after we focus on being thankful. It makes me wonder how different our world would be if we were thankful all the time.
Being grateful doesn’t just affect us personally, but it ripples out to others. When we have an attitude of gratitude, our perspective on everything changes. We speak and act differently, our positive outlooks and words can transform a situation and encourage others. Things seem hopeful instead of hopeless. We can be joyful even when there’s nothing to be joyful about in the natural. But when we think about what we have been given spiritually, words can’t even express nor can a price be put on them because they’re priceless.
This week we’re going to look at what it really means to celebrate Thanksgiving and then living it out the rest of the year. You can start today by making a list of everything you are thankful for.
