Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord.
Let us shout out praises to our Protector who delivers us.
Let us enter his presence with thanksgiving. Psalm 95:1-2a NCV
Thanksgiving has come, a day of travel to family and friends where we eat too much, watching parades and football. Sitting around the dinner table long after the meal is over just enjoying the conversations and planning for Black Friday deals. In all the goings on let’s not forget the true focal point of this day, Jesus.
We are celebrating because of how He provided for those who fled Europe for religious freedom. And although there were losses not only in the journey but also once they landed, God made provision and protection for them. So today let’s take time to sing for joy to the Lord who is our Protector, Provider, Deliverer and Friend and most of all experience true Thanksgiving by spending some time in His presence.
May all of you have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving in the presence of the Lord.
