Today was a quiet day for Jesus and His disciples and they spent it in a familiar place Bethany. This was Jesus go to place to take a step back slow down and rest. In this town He had friends like Mary, Martha and Lazarus. He felt at home and found comfort in the company of friends and His Father.
Although the Scriptures are silent about what transpired today, we can rest assure that Jesus spent time not only with His friends but with His Father. For tomorrow evening they would be celebrating Passover and Jesus knew He was only hours away from being betrayed, arrested, beaten, whipped and crucified. More now than ever He was going to need to know His Father’s love for Him.
