2 Cor. 12:9
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Amazing grace how sweet the sound. That’s especially true when we are feeling vulnerable, weak and useless. No one likes when we’re met with a challenge or trial whether it be physical, emotional or spiritual. We buy into the world’s idea that weak, and less than perfect means failure or powerless. But God reminds us in 1 Corinthians 1:28 that it is the things that the world thinks are foolish, despised and insignificant that He chooses to use to reveal and show His glory and overcoming power.
How awesome is the thought that when God asks us to do something for Him, He also enables and empowers us to not only accomplish it, but do it better than we ever thought we could. Holy Spirit helps us accomplish whatever the task at hand is with excellence. Now excellence doesn’t mean perfect, it means to the best of our ability, and with the dunamis power of God working inside of us how can we do anything else.
Today if you’re feeling weak, unsuccessful and insignificant, then declare this verse for yourself, thank God for His power that will help you accomplish whatever is set before you. Tell Him how grateful you are that He will use you to show His glory and power so that others will come to know Him through a personal relationship with Him. How amazing is our God?
