Then he said, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. Genesis 24:12
Watching Super Bowl LX was different to say the least. It wasn’t really boring, but it wasn’t exciting either, well until the fourth quarter when things came alive. A play that I thought was amazing, was when the Patriots quarterback Maye went back for a pass, but got tackled, which released the ball and hit the helmet of a teammate which bounced off him and landed in the arms of a surprised Seahawk player which resulted in a touchdown.
While watching the replay, I thought wow, that was a qarah moment if ever there was one. Qarah is the Hebrew word for success, a right happening,, Divine positioning, or right place, right time. As Believers, we should be like Abraham’s servant when he was sent to find a bride for Isaac. He knew he didn’t know who he was looking for, but God did. So he prayed today’s verse and God revealed Rebekah to him.
God doesn’t change He works the same way today as He did then. He longs for us to rely on Him and to look to Him for answers when we’re not sure of our own choices and need His guidance. He not only knows the answer we need, but He already has it prepared, all we need to do is seek Him. Jeremiah 29:13 tells us that when we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him and He will give us the answer we need.
Be honest how many times have you wished you, “knew what to do, where to go, who to meet. . .”. Well, you don’t have to ” “wish” wish any more. You can pray like Abraham’s servant and ask for direction and guidance and wait with great expectation for what He is going to reveal to you and thank Him for leading you to the the right place and right time.
