Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. Psalm 139:14
The other day I watched a Hallmark Movie about Snowflakes and I learned a lot. I knew that no two snowflakes were alike, I just didn’t know how or why, but now I do. And after more research, I also learned that there are basically 35 types of snowflakes, but the combination of temperature, humidity, molecular structure, growth patterns, environmental influences and individual journey during the formation makes the variations nearly infinite. Each dendrite (snowflake) is made up of approximately a quintillion individual water molecules so it pretty much ensures no two snowflakes are exactly alike. Albeit there may only be the most subtle differences, they are still different. They truly are fascinating and beautiful creations, that reflect the glory of their Creator.
Now think about what makes each one unique, also applies to humans. We each have internal molecular structural differences in our DNA, our growth patterns, physical, mental, emotional and spiritually along with environmental influences and our individual life journey experiences makes each one of us unique, amazingly complex and valuable to God. We truly are a marvelous workmanship, beautiful and a reflection of our loving Creator in whose image we are made.
Although snowflakes reflecting any light is beautiful, there is something special when they catch Christmas lights. That soft glow becomes intensified and we can’t help from being attracted to their sparkle and radiance as they pierce the darkness. Just like snowflakes, the Light of Jesus that lives in us should radiate from within reflecting His love and grace. This Christmas let His Love Light shine bright drawing others out of the darkness into His marvelous light.
