His huge outstretched arms protect you—
under them you’re perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm. Psalm 91:4 MSG
This morning I had to drive on 22 (for those who are not local it is a US Route through Allentown PA), and I got a late start for an appointment. Although traffic was moderate, it was nothing like it used to be pre-Covid. We were moving along when we began to slow down, which was nothing new approaching the 15th St. exit. But then I saw why trucks were pulling over on the shoulder, a box truck had flipped on it’s side and a car was up on the guard rail, people were running to the crash scene, while others were on their phone.
As I passed, I prayed for the safety of everyone involved and to keep those responding safe. I also prayed a prayer of thanksgiving for being slowed down this morning and being delayed. That delay probably saved me from being involved in the accident, and being any later, I would have been stuck in traffic. Once again Psalm 91 came to my mind and how I saw it in action and until I saw the accident, I didn’t know there was anything I needed to be protected from! Doesn’t it make you wonder how many things God protects us from that we never know about. How awesome is our God!!!
