He has taken our sins away from us
as far as the east is from west. Psalm 103:12
Friday night we had Girls Night In with a Joyce Meyers Conference stream at church. About half hour before it was to begin we had the live stream going and ready to hook it up to our sound system and the cord to the computer was missing. I don’t mean misplaced, I mean the entire thing was gone, nowhere to be found! It was there when we were finished with worship last Sunday and we left the church with it in place.
Great I thought and after I snapped out of my unbelief I began to pray and seek God’s wisdom, He led me to the cordless mic. We could place it by the speaker on the computer. However, the receiver for the cordless mic wouldn’t stay on no matter what we did. We had corded mics but did we have enough cords to make it to the computer, praise God we did! And to our relief it worked with no time to spare. We collectively breathed a silent thank you prayer for God’s provision.
The worship portion was perfect for us all to calm down and refocus on Jesus. Then Joyce began to speak about her new book Do It Afraid and I knew why the enemy wanted to stop us from hearing her. The group of women who were there were all dealing with things she was addressing and we all needed to hear it and the night ended up being a blessing in so many ways.
For me, well, as a spiritual leader it’s never good to have a meltdown, but I had one. At first I was feeling guilty and ashamed. But as we worshiped, God a reminded me that even though I might have become anxious and fearful and spun out of control, He had forgiven me. He forgot about it, so now I needed to also. He reminded me to consider what I learned from my “failure” and all I could think was that once again He showed up and that which was meant for evil turned into good. He is such an amazing Father how can we help but love and trust Him.
