God of our Lord Jesus the Anointed, Father of Glory: I call out to You on behalf of Your people. Give them minds ready to receive wisdom and revelation so they will truly know You. Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace. Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their inheritance. When wanting more wisdom we think of James 1:5 and God will give it to us liberally. And He does, but too often we wait to pray and ask as we’re needing it or we ask like it’s an add on to other things and so we don’t see the wisdom we desire. If we’re not seeking to know Jesus deeper and more intimately, His wisdom will not be heard or seen.
One of the best ways to walk in the different levels of God’s wisdom is to pray Paul’s prayer for us. It reminds us that wisdom only comes from God and works optimally when we are growing in the Lord. It encourages us to realize we have His wisdom and He longs to reveal Himself to us so we will know all He provided for us in the cross and His resurrection. And that we can do achieve whatever He asks of us because we have the same power working in us that rose Jesus from the dead!
