Yesterday on the 700 Club they reported that witches were reporting that the spells and curses they put on Donald Trump aren’t working and the one even went as far as saying she thinks it was because of the prayers over Him. Some may say that there are no such things as spells and curses. But the Bible has a lot to say about the power of spells, curses and witchcraft. But even more verses about the power of God through Holy Spirit that is greater and more powerful than anything the enemy has in His play book.
When I heard this, I was reminded about when our founding Pastor Norman Cressman was on the mission field in Cambodia. Because of his preaching of the Gospel and praying for healing of one of the Cambodians, a Witch Doctor of the her Community placed a curse on him. But days later he was still walking and preaching the Gospel message and because of it many more in the Community were saved. He said that the reason the curse didn’t take hold was because of prayers of protection and he didn’t believe it could touch him because he had Holy Spirit in him. Just like 1 John 4:4 tells us, Greater is He that is in us than the one who is in the world.
I I truly believe it’s all of those, and in this case because it is God Romans 13:1 reminds us, “Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.” Let today’s devotion be a reminder how powerful our prayers are when prayed in faith believing in the awesome power of Jesus that defeated the enemy at the cross and sealed it forever through His resurrection. So PRAY ON!
