Some friendships don’t last for long,
but there is one loving friend who is joined to your heart
closer than any other! Proverbs 18:24 TPT
The other day I had to make a decision that took some consideration. I remember saying to a friend, I made the decision and didn’t have to ask someone else if it was alright. See after my divorce, making some decisions were difficult, we would usually bounce ones that took some consideration off one another and discussed the outcomes and options. But now everything was up to me, no more hearing another persons perception or offering something I never thought of.
I remember crying sometimes and wishing I had someone to discuss things with again. But one night, I experienced a calm and peace of heart and an inner voice reminding me I still had my best friend and I could discuss anything with Him. I had one of those V-8 moments, thinking and your the wisest friend anyone could have, who knows everything and is willing to share that wisdom with me!
But the other day when I said that, that same voice reminded me, I had forgotten I still have someone I need to bounce things off of. And I needed that reminder, because isn’t that just like our human nature to forget about our best friend. I hope this reminds you like it did me, not only am I never alone, but I have a friend who really wants to have a relationship with me to help me walk this journey of life in victory and peace.
