But the Lord says,
“Do not cling to events of the past
or dwell on what happened long ago.
19 Watch for the new thing I am going to do.
It is happening already—you can see it now!
I will make a road through the wilderness
and give you streams of water there. Isaiah 43:18-19 GNT
I have been so fascinated with Hanukkah this year with its first night being on the Christmas and Jesus being the Light of the World. And now New Year’s Eve was on the 7th night, the number of completion. And today, New Year’s the last night being on the 8th, the number of new beginnings!
How Great and Awesome is our God! So many of us need to hear what He is saying to us in today’s passage. I know many will say, He was speaking to Israel. But my dear friends, I want to remind you we have been grafted in (Romans 11:16-24)! What a wonderful Father He truly is, He is speaking directly to us that He not only is still working and moving, but doing new things in new ways to bring renewal and revival in every way we need it.
As you welcome this first day of the new year 2025, thank Him for what He has done and praise Him for what he is doing and about to do. Then ask Him to open your eyes so you can see what you have never seen before now and in the future.
