Look at the splendor of your skies,
your creative genius glowing in the heavens.
When I gaze at your moon and your stars,
mounted like jewels in their settings,
I know you are the fascinating artist who fashioned it all! Psalm 8:3 TPT
This is one of the most descriptive verses in the Bible. As you read it, you can actually see in your mind the beauty of the night sky. And you can also see God as the artist that brought it to light. It brings back the memory of singing Twinkle, twinkle little star, like a diamond in the sky, and the moon looking like a giant pearl.
To think He made it for us to enjoy and to remember how very much He loves us. When we look into the expanse of the sky and think about there are even more stars and planets we cannot even see we often are overwhelmed by it. But it also reminds us how great God is to have created all that beauty and to think He cares about us even more. As a matter of fact He created all of this for us to enjoy and it draws us into a place of thanksgiving and praise for who He is.
I encourage you to take time today to read all of Chapter 8 slowly, closing your eyes every so often to meditate on the goodness of our Abba to His children and who we are to Him. He longs for us to see ourselves as He sees us so that we will truly understand what He has restored to those who have accepted the sacrifice of His Son Jesus.
Tonight I invite you to go outside and look into the heavens at the Super Blue Moon reminding yourself another Super Blue Moon won’t happen again until January and March of 2037. Take in it’s splendor, drink in the beauty of the twinkling stars surrounding it and know the One who created it is your Heavenly Father. Let yourself go, open your mouth and praise Him. There is no greater way to thank Him than to enjoy the beauty He has placed before you and to tell Him you know He is God.
