Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Yesterday I saw a video of a Sheep in Wales getting sheared during their recent heatwave. The shear joy and freedom was exhibited by her jumping in excitement and running and leaping. Even the other sheep were feeling her happiness and ran also. AS I watched I couldn’t help but think about how we should feel when we give our cares, worries, anxieties and fears to God. It’s like a weight lifted off of us, or in this case, taking off our winter coat in this heat and giving it to Jesus.
What heaviness are you carrying around with you in this heat? Take a lesson from this sheep and let Jesus remove it and feel the freedom you long to experience then run and leap for joy sharing with other that they too can be free from their cares. Now go and enjoy life that way God always intended it to be free of fear and with power, love and a sound mind.
