For with God nothing will be impossible. Luke 1:37
Last night 2,189 years ago the Maccabees rededicated the Temple after it was desecrated by the Romans. And in a step of faith, they lit the Temple Menorah even though there wasn’t enough oil to light it for more than one day. They knew it would take eight days for more Temple oil to cure in order to be used. But they did it anyway even though they knew that the Temple Lamp was never to go out once it was lit.
That step of faith positioned them for God to reveal Himself in a miraculous way. And the miracles continued for the next eight days as the oil continued to be replenished. It is a great time for us to consider perhaps we’re not seeing God work in amazing ways because we simply aren’t willing to step out in faith. Have you asked Him for direction for something, He has given you a directive and yet, you’re not moving. Perhaps it’s because it doesn’t make sense, or it seems to risky or you just think it’s wrong, so it’s not Jesus talking to you? I know you’re probably thinking yep, that’s me.
Well start to praise Him because with God it’s never too late to obey His leading. Remember, nothing is impossible with God! He has empowered you to overcome every obstacle in your way no matter what. After all Mary a virgin became pregnant with Jesus, and Elizabeth and Zechariah had John the Baptist in their old age. Spend some time during this Christmas season to linger in His presence and ask Him to remind you of what He asked you to do, then go out and do it. Position yourself for God to move in miraculous ways in your life. Then wait with great expectation to see Him reveal Himself and give Him all the glory.
