The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8 NLT
Tonight I heard a top epidemiologist in the world made an “aha” statement that might be missed by many. They were discussing the true risks of COVID-19 and he basically said, there are risks, but then isn’t all of life a risk? How true that statement is! Yes the Corona Virus is very real and for some it’s deadly, for others, they have it, but show no symptoms and the majority have flu like symptoms from mild to severe. Such a broad spectrum, but we need to keep on living, all be it with precautions to protect ourselves and others. Then again getting in a car and going to work, you may have an accident. Using the stairs may lead to a fall. Walking in the woods you could get poison ivy or bitten by bugs. But we still go out and do them.
When you think about life this way it can become a bit scary. I’m so glad our Creator knew life would be like that, so He made a way for us never to have to live it alone, we have Him! When we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord, we receive His Holy Spirit to help us as our guide through life. We still may have things happen to us now and again, because that’s life. But even when those things do happen, we have the help we need to get through. I love this promise in today’s verse, it’s so comforting because by going out and living life we create risks that He so often protects us from and we don’t even know what could have happened! He is there for us, He wants us to walk with Him and talk with Him and listen so He can lead us along the best path.
