For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37
This is one of the most quoted Scriptures. So much so, we don’t often really think about what we’re saying. Mostly because we focus on that fact that nothing will be impossible. But the pivotal word though seemingly insignificant is “with”. That’s correct the only way nothing will be impossible is WITH God.
Although God is more than capable of accomplishing anything without us, He chooses to work through us. It is part of His relationship with us. In working through us we can truly understand that His Holy Spirit lives in us. We can experience His power when we can accomplish things that in our humanness could never happen. Although we think we only see Him in the big things, He also helps us with our everyday issues. Such as having peace in a situation that should be stealing it. Or being able to show kindness to someone who clearly doesn’t deserve it and believe God will keep His promises when in the natural it looks hopeless. He truly reminds us that without Him we can do nothing and with Him, well nothing is impossible.
