Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6
The other day I saw a segment of Tucker Carlson in an interview with Russell Brand, English comedian, actor and radio host and former Buddhist. The clip was from the end of the interview and Tucker asked Russell to close in prayer and he answered, “ah yeah, alright!” and got up and kneeled down. What was said next brought tears to my eyes. He began, “we call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our heavenly Savior, I pray in Your Name that the forth coming election be an opportunity of unity for America and for Americans for forgiveness and for grace. That the dark and demonic forces that appear to operate in the level of the state and the deep state and the corporate and global world experience your light Lord. That we are guided by You, that you will guide all of our tongues, all of our words and all of our hearts, that we may feel Your forgiveness and grace. . . , oh, that American Believers would pray like this British citizen did for us.
Tonight is the first and possibly only Presidential Debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Let us all pray, that any spirits of deception and lies be exposed by the Light of Jesus and that any anger or divisiveness would be dispelled. That both candidates would treat one another with respect in spite of the differences and for the issues be discussed with clarity as the calming presence of Holy Spirit would be felt in the room.
I pray that all Believers everywhere would pray for truth and decency to reign not only amongst the candidates and both parties, but also in every Believer whose lives have been transformed by the salvation power of Jesus Christ.
