It’s Really That Simple

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

This verse seems so short, simple and to the point. But how many times have we failed to follow it? Probably because we make it more difficult than it is.

While we try to define what it means to be humble, we totally miss that it’s as simple as knowing we need Jesus, we can’t do this life on our own. And to resist the devil, it’s as simple as saying “NO” to him, his deceptions and lies. And then he not only will, but he has to flee from us because we have the authority to tell him to hit the road and not come back.

So the next time you feel like the devil is picking on you, remember your authority over him and tell him to go! And he will have to leave you alone.
