Blessed are those who find wisdom,
those who gain understanding. Prov 3:13
those who gain understanding. Prov 3:13
The other day I heard a discussion about the difference between knowledge and wisdom. And I will never forget one man’s description because it’s so simple and true. He said, “Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not to putting it in a fruit salad.” Isn’t that so good! What a word picture it paints.
We so often attribute wisdom to something deep and unexplainable. But in that brief statement, the beauty of keeping it simple brings wisdom into our everyday situations and circumstances. How many times in a day do we use our God given wisdom without even realizing it or thanking Him for not only giving us wisdom, but for being our wisdom. Here we can see the wisdom of God confounding the wise, why? Because those who think they are wise will want to make it more complicated than it needs to be so they can look smarter. But God wants His wisdom to be seen working in our every day issues and circumstances. He wants us to remember that all He does is simple, it takes man’s interference to make it truly complicated and there is nothing complicated about the Gospel and His grace.
So keep Your relationship with Jesus simple and others will want to know more about Him, so they too can experience the simplicity of Jesus’ Love, Grace and Mercy.
