O Lord, You are my God;
I will exalt You, I will praise and give thanks to Your name;
For You have done miraculous things,
Plans formed long, long ago, [fulfilled] with perfect faithfulness. Isaiah 25:1 AMP
I’m writing this devotion not knowing who won the election. Unlike many, I don’t sit and watch the returns since watching isn’t going to change anything, but prayer can. Although on and off all day yesterday I prayed for those voting and even those not voting, that they would. I prayed reminding God of His Word to bring vindication for those who are His, that time and again He showed up and His people were victorious against all odds, and my favorite passage Galatians 6:7-9 AMPC Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
But once the polls closed my prayers turned to God protecting each and every vote that there would be no fraud, manipulation or cheating. And if there is an attempt to do so, they would be caught and prosecuted. Remembering that He never sleeeps nor slumbers and He is omniscient and can see and reveal everything that is trying to undermine the truth. And I could fall asleep with peace of heart and mind knowing that He is still on the Throne and He has a plan so that more people will come to know His Son as Savior and Lord, the only Victorious King of kings, the Lion of Judah who has overcome the world!
