The thing that has been—it is what will be again, and that which has been done is that which will be done again; and there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9
At a time where it seems like everything is changing and nothing is the same, there is a bright light. Last night after our Kids Club at church the kids couldn’t wait to go out and catch fireflies. No matter how things may change, kids still love to catch fireflies.
I loved watching them running through the grass trying to catch them without squashing them. Then they came running over to show us as they tried to keep them from flying off. We showed them how to cup their hands together and when they look inside the light looks brighter. And they don’t fly away.
Telling them they are God’s nightlights to help light darkness. And just like we’re drawn to them and want to catch their light, God wants to put His light inside of us too. And just like we are drawn to catch the fireflies, other people will be drawn to our light. Then we can share with them about Jesus the true Light of the world. So just like the fireflies, let your light shine!
