Come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1
Last night was the opening game for the Philadelphia Eagles and the celebration at Lincoln Financial Field began early in the morning with people waiting to get into the parking lot that opened at 1:30 PM. People were already cheering and singing the Eagles theme song waiting with great anticipation.
Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching football and getting excited to watch some of the match-ups. But it got me thinking about the pockets of spiritual revival that is happening all over the United States, and my spirit started getting excited. The thought that in the near future people would be that passionate and excited to meet for church services and special events that honored and praised God.
How different would our services be if everyone began getting ready for “Sunday Service” already on Friday and would line up to get in the parking lots hours before the church opened. What if Believers began preparing their hearts to receive the Word and to gather in His presence days before, instead of rushing in minutes before service began still thinking of other things rather than thinking about who they were coming to church to praise and worship.
I not only believe it can happen, but that it will as more and more Believers pray for revival and awakening to our need for the Savior of the world. He promised when we would seek Him He would not only answer us, but meet in the midst with us. Beloved let’s pray with Biblical hope, the confident expectation of something good happening and we will see hearts, minds and lives be transformed and in turn so will our nation.
