Tomorrow, Believers will meet together to praise and worship the Lord and hear His Word. Although there is nothing that compares to the intimacy of private praise and worship, something amazing happens when God’s children are united in one place at the same time. There is an energy that can’t be denied, like on the day of Pentecost a Holy fire that burned so brightly in the 120 in the upper room that it moved out of the room into the streets. The result was 3,000 people being saved and the church was born.
We all could have been at any time in history, but the fact is we were born now, at a time when the Church needs a new awakening. A time when Holy Spirit is once again moving and stirring His smoldering fires within us into flames. It’s time we begin to respond to His stirring and be so filled with Him, that His power within us can no longer be contained within the walls of buildings and we need to pour out into the streets. We need to not only preach the Word, but we need to live it out just like those in the first Church. People may never darken the door of a church building, but they can’t help but be influenced when the church comes to them and meets them where they are.
Meeting together weekly is the best place to have our low burning fires fanned into wildfires that can’t be put out, simply because nothing can extinguish the Light that Jesus brought to earth. And that Light now lives inside every Believer, so fan your flames tomorrow, then go out and light your world!
