Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 TPT
Our society has done us a great disservice by teaching us failure is wrong and unfair. It has caused people to be ashamed of themselves and to hide their failures. Unfortunately this hiding these failures causes us to internalize the problem, make it all about us and it goes from something we’ve done or didn’t do to who we are. It forms a victim mentality and before we know it lids have been placed on our lives. Now the lid in itself isn’t the problem, it’s how we see the lids, we see them as dead ends with nowhere else to go, but just as a lid was put on it can be taken off. The best way to breakthrough a lid is to look at our failures as tools to break through to achieve beyond what we see. Notice I said tools, because as the old saying goes, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again” and maybe again and again.
See God created us to truly live and thrive, not just live and exist! How do I know that because He put into place natural Laws that are greater than the Law of the Lid. Laws such as perserverance, patience, believing, etc. God loves us and wants us to realize, if you put them into practice you will achieve and succeed! In the Book of Hebrews there is an entire chapter (11) that talks about all the people who failed and at times miserably, but they trusted God, believed Him and His Word and they won great victories and are still influencing others until this day!
The greatest news is you don’t have to attempt this alone because Jesus said, “A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!” John 10:10 How awesome is that, not only does He have in place “laws” to victory but when you accept His gift of salvation and recieve His Holy Spirit you will be empowered to achieve more than you ever dreamed (find out how on our website, click on About Us and go to Beginning a Personal Relationship).
