The other day I heard someone say that everything is in chaos and will it ever stop? Although it seems at times like everything is out of control or in flux, is our world really in chaos? And if it is, as Believers should we be concerned?
Consider today’s verse describing how the earth and the heavens were before God got His hands on it. Or should we say until God spoke to them. There is no question that things certainly aren’t the same as they were even five years ago and that the changes don’t seem to be slowing down. But there is One who never changes, God. Malachi 3:6 reminds us He is the Lord God who does not change, and Hebrews 13:8 tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
So if He doesn’t change, then He certainly can once again can take total chaos and turn it into something amazing, like this beautiful, awesome world we now live in. Not to mention the animals and people that come along with it. Bringing order and beauty out of chaos seems to the Lord’s specialty, just to show His glory. So the next time it seems like the world, our nation, or our own lives are becoming chaotic and that life will never be the same again, just remember what an awesome God we not only serve, but what an amazing and loving Father we have that is still able to restore order into the chaos and make something beautiful from it.
