We are surrounded by a great cloud of people whose lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way and the sin that so easily holds us back. Hebrews 12:1
Saying we’re rededicating our nation to God, recommitting our lives and praying more, are very easy to say. But to walk it out is so much harder. In order for rededication to make in impact, Believers need to be recommitted also on a personal level. That will mean we not only need to repent from sin, but commit to seek and follow God and Holy Spirit’s leading.
Prayer in itself is not enough, we need to allow Holy Spirit to fill us with His resurrection power, casting aside all fear and intimidation by the enemy. We cannot just pray and ask God to “do it” for us, but to get out of the boat and take the authority He has given us (Matt 28:18; Luke 10:19; John 14:12). We are more than conquerors through Jesus and the victory is ours, but we also need to remember that to truly follow Jesus’ example we need to walk in love because we overcome evil with good. After all our mission is the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:11-21) to reconcile others back to God through Jesus Christ.
