I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you. Ephesians 1:17
How many of us would like to know what’s going to happen this coming year. Although we may not have a all the answers, God in His love, grace and mercy does show us some things through His Word and in the Hebrew language. Today’s Scripture reminds us how to access those things that seem to be hidden. The answer is through praying for God’s wisdom to see Him and His word more clearly so we can better understand Him and His ways.
Every Hebrew letter has three different descriptors; a phonic sound, a numerical value and prophetic picture. This year shows us; 5- Hei, grace. A window, being watchful, looking out. 7- Zayim, completion and rest. A plow, forcefully turnover, break forth, take action. 8- Chet, new beginnings. A wall, fence, separation 1- Aleph, silence. An ox, strong, lead, head, master
So when we connect all meanings together we can see God’s plan and better understand when things begin to happen. God wants us to see things through His eyes, the eyes of grace. To be watchful and look for ways to show Him to this dark and dying world. It will be a year of times of turmoil and also triumph. There will be time to take action and time to rest and to know that victory is already won in the completed work of Jesus Christ. It will be a time of new beginnings. There will be two distinct sides that will cause separation, but God’s grace is greater and can tear those walls down. It will be a year where man will be reaching up to God and will find that God is also reaching down to them. He will give those reaching out for Him a strength that only He can give, a silent strength that will influence others to come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord and will overcome the darkness.
You have been born into the world “for such a time as this”. The world needs every blood bought Believer to follow Jesus like we never have before. To know Him, even when we can’t see Him. To listen for His voice and then follow what He says. To be the calm in the stormy times. To preach and teach His message of reconcilliation and to know it’s His will that none should perish. We have His plan before us and now we must out it into motion and redeem the time we have been given.
