Last night at Bible Study we had a good time, we were laughing, teasing one another, were in a competition, accusing eachother of cheating and just having a great time with one another. What were we doing? We were having a Bible Trivia competition. We learned so much from things we already knew from the word. We also learned things about ourselves, like we really didn’t listen to the question so we could answer the question correctly or that we should have more confidence in what we know is in the Bible. But most of all even when we were disagreeing, we had fun challenging the answer and learned even more from God’s Word.
We need to have fun in church, after all if we can’t have fun in God’s house, where can we? The lesson learned was we can enjoy one another’s company even if we seriously disagreed. There were some answers that at first were called to be wrong. But we weren’t offended, we just got deeper into the Word and found that the answer was wrong because it was imcomplete, or it just actually was the wrong answer, which was really funny.
With all the serious things in life we need to take time every once in awhile to lighten up and just have fun and to know at the end of the day our answers are always found in His Word and we can always learn from it.
