When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:6-8
Perhaps you have noticed that for a few days there were no new devotions published. It wasn’t because they weren’t written, or ready to published. It was because they weren’t scheduled to be published. First I need the topic and information, which God always supplies, then I have to write it, then I have to click Publish immediately/edit. There I can determine the day and time I want it published and click ok. But it will never be published until I click, schedule. I forgot the last step, to get it onto the website! And so all the imformation remained inactive, just waiting to achieve its intended purpose, to learn from God and share it with others.
It reminded me that we can read our devotions and scripture and say a quick prayer. But if we never schedule personal, intimate time with God, our reason for doing those things are never truly completed. We can gather all the info, but never schedule a time to meditate on what we’ve gathered or talk with God about it. In turn so often we encounter things in life and we’re not prepared to deal with them because we don’t know what to do with what we’ve learned and know. Don’t go through another day without scheduling some time with God so He can help you apply what you’ve learned. In so doing it will not only bless you, but share it with someone else. Remember, chances are if you don’t schedule it, it will never happen.
